Buckeye Local Junior High has a junior high school level educational program with excellent academics for seventh and eighth grade levels. Our school wide program emphasizes Reading and Math. Special education classes are offered to students with learning disabilities. In addition to the five core subjects of English, Reading, Math, Science and Social Studies, all students are enrolled into Computer and Physical Education. Students have the option of band class or a mini-rotational class consisting of: Geography, Publications, Mythology, Foreign Language, Music, or Financial Literacy. After School Extended Learning and Summer Intervention classes are also offered. Buckeye Local Junior High has a full time Guidance Department.
 
Extra Curricular Programs/Clubs
Opportunities exist for personal growth at Buckeye Local Junior High School and a full slate of activities are offered. Students are encouraged to participate in Student Council, Drama Club, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). Interscholastic sports include football, cross-country, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, and track. Cheerleading is also offered for football, basketball, and competition squad.
